8. Free In-Home Quote
Every bathroom project starts with an in-home assessment — measurements, plumbing-route check, photo documentation, and a written estimate with allowances. Free, takes ~60 min, no obligation.
Why our floor is $20K and not $12K: A $12K bathroom in Vancouver 2026 either skips proper waterproofing (Schluter/Wedi membrane is $1,200 in materials alone for a full bath), uses big-box-only fixtures that don't carry warranty, or is done by an unlicensed installer without BC permit. $20K is what a code-compliant Vancouver bathroom actually costs once you include licensed plumber + electrician + tile setter + warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions — Bathroom Renovation Vancouver
How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Vancouver? Bathroom renovation costs range from $12,000–$18,000 for an entry-level renovation (basic tub-to-shower, new vanity, toilet) to $30,000–$35,000+ for a mid-range full renovation, and $35,000–$60,000+ for spa-style master ensuites with heated floors, curbless showers, and custom tile. See our Bathroom Renovation Cost Guide for full breakdowns.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom renovation in Metro Vancouver? Permits are required for plumbing relocations (moving drain or supply lines), electrical panel upgrades, structural changes, and adding new bathrooms. Cosmetic updates (new tile over existing substrate, vanity swap, toilet replacement) typically do not require permits. Reno Stars manages all permit applications where required.
How long does a bathroom renovation take? A standard 3-piece bathroom renovation takes 2–4 weeks from demo to completion. A full ensuite renovation with custom tile, heated floors, and curbless shower runs 4–8 weeks. Custom master bathrooms with extensive millwork and steam showers can take 8–14 weeks.
What is the difference between a shower conversion and a full bathroom renovation? A shower conversion replaces an existing tub with a shower unit — typically a 1-week project costing $3,500–$12,000 for a basic tiled shower. A full bathroom renovation replaces all fixtures, flooring, and surfaces and may include layout changes — typically 3–6 weeks and $18,000–$50,000+.

What our Bathroom Renovation clients say
All reviews“We worked with Reno Stars Construction on a partial renovation of our townhouse (2.5 bathrooms, kitchen, and entry tile work) and were extremely happy with the experience. The team of Ryan, Sylvia and Jasper was professional, communicative, and excellent problem solvers. As a bonus, they delivered the project well ahead of schedule.
We actually recommended them to a friend before our renovation was even completed, based solely on the outstanding customer service. High-quality work and a smooth, stress-free process. We would absolutely recommend Reno Stars Construction.”“I am so happy we went with Ryan and Jasper for our renovation. Here is why they deserve 5 stars:
Attention to Detail: Out of all the contractors I interviewed, they were the only ones to bring a tape measure to the estimate. This led to a very accurate quote and no financial surprises.
Communication: They set up a group chat that kept us in the loop constantly. They were transparent and responsive the whole time.
Flexibility: We made many changes during the process. The crew was patient, accommodating, and handled every request professionally.
The Result: Our kitchen and bathrooms look stunning. The craftsmanship is amazing.
If you are planning a renovation, look no further. Highly recommended!”See the Bathroom Renovation cost guide
